the band biography

The Replacements were formed when the lead guitar player of The Pioneers moved away - Richard joined to take on the lead guitar and backing vocals.  After getting a few gigs from friends, the new line up branched out into the pub circuit, playing more and more classic rock music.  The new line up meant a name change to break clean from the old style - so The Replacements were born.

the line up:

Dan

lead vocals and rhythm guitars - Dan plays an Epiphone Les Paul & an Applause accoustic through his Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb amp.

Andy

Bass and backing vocals (load for some songs) - Andy plays an Ibanez 4 string bass through a Trace Elliot full stack - it packs a punch!

Carl

Drums - insane drumming - favourite song, Moby Dick of course!

Richard

Lead guitar and backing vocals (lead for some songs) - Rich plays a BC Rich, Vintage Strat copy or Epiphone Les Paul through his Marshall JCM2000 DSL50 half stack - Favourite song, anything loud with a lead break!
